    About You

    We are seeking to recruit a new member to our expanding Mechanical Engineering team. We’re looking for graduates or individuals who have 1-2 years experience with a desire to acquire new knowledge.

    You are inquisitive - you’ve taken apart every toy you’ve ever owned and have every LEGO Technic set created!

    You are passionate - you love the idea of taking a design and making it better and you strive to achieve success for yourself through your work.

    You are grounded – you have a common sense approach and a fundamental understanding of what works.

    You love the Discovery channel and have TiVo’d every episode of “How It’s Made”. You know the difference between an injection molding and an extrusion.

    You are a collaborator – you are a strong communicator and work extremely well within teams. You can contribute within a brainstorm environment and are as attentive in listening to the perspectives of others as you are presenting your own point of view.

    You are a natural with CAD – and love every package - CAD, CAM, FEA, CFD! You were the go to guy for your peers at University, you showed up the tutor, you were top of your class - you exceeded their requirements because you could!

    You are a sponge – you just soak up knowledge, you’re never satisfied and you are always thirsty for more.

    You’re not limited by your background, your role. We will surround you with the best and the brightest the design world has to offer; you will absorb that knowledge and be empowered to identify problems and fix them.

    About the Role

    The Mechanical Engineer will work on diverse design projects with team members from other disciplines under the guidance of the engineering team. This is an intensive position where new learning is applied to projects on a daily basis. Our engineering team is constantly developing their knowledge and understanding of new processes to solve design problems and this role will be expected to contribute to this.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
    • 0-2 years relevant experience
    • Knowledge of 3D CAD packages – ProE/Creo preferred, but Solidworks acceptable
    • Basic knowledge in 3D CAD surfacing
    • You have a good grounding in mass manufacturing techniques such as Injection Molding, Extrusion, Die Casting, Sheet Metal Pressing etc.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Basic knowledge of Photoshop. Illustrator and InDesign
