Anyone thinking of doing any new courses (Part time or full time) this year? Or anyone know of any cool courses out there?

Hi Gameface. We are running a cool sketching course in February. It was designed by me and is based on my years of experience in product design and mentoring. Its great for people who would like to learn the fundamentals of design sketching or simply brush up on their sketching and rendering techniques. The group attending will be diverse (designers, engineers, craftspeople...etc) and the trainers are professional product designers so the course is fun, informative and builds peoples connections in the design world. I am happy to offer group discounts and am also offering 10% student discounts on presentation on valid ID.

Here is a link for more information :) DesignBurst Sketch 4 Success Feb 2013

I\'m afraid I\'ve signed up to a 10 ten week course which is starting in February, its not really design related but it happens to be on a Tuesday evenings so wouldn\'t be able to make it then. I\'m sure theres a few memebers here who might be interested in taking the course.

    Hi Gameface,

Ah that\'s a pity but we will run it again and I am considering running sketching workshops that will allow people drop in as they please on Saturdays to brush up on sketching and meet other designers and makers in the process. I will keep you all updated on any events i run over the coming months :) Yeh if there are any of you who are thinking of coming along to this Feb course just let me know either here or by email- :)

If there is anyone who you think this would be of interest to just let me know- all materials are provided (high quality design materials) to make sure everyone participating gets off to a flying start :)

I seen that you had your first graduates. What was the feedback from the course and how did you find running the course Any tweaks you plan to make to improve it or did everything run smoothly?

Hi I just noticed this response- sorry I didn't get notified so didn't see it! The course went really well- by the end everybody was sketching a variety of 2d and 3D objects proficiently and everyone was delighted with how it went. We are running another one in June and this time we have included a sketching pack for people based on feedback (some of the participants couldnt get their hands on the markers...etc so they ended up getting some from us). You can see more on Sketch for Success June here: http://designburst.ie/event/sketch-4-success/

We are also launching our SpaceClaim training in June. Its a fantastic 3D modeller that we use here in the studio and its really intuitive. We are including 1 yr licenses with the training so that people can really get teh hang of it and use it to build their projects in 3D without any limitations (i.e. i have yet to encounter a design that I cannot model in SpaceClaim!!!) You can see more here...http://designburst.ie/product-design-training/3d-modelling-with-spaceclaim/
